ANDRITZ has an immediate opportunity for a Control Systems Specialist to join our growing team in Eugene, OR. In this role you will be an integral member of our on-site ANDRITZ team, supporting the customer with their daily process control systems maintenance and optimization activities while working very closely with mill production leaders and operations. You will also develop, design and deliver quality process and control system projects to our customers throughout the design process, from the conception of the design through to the field for commissioning.

Responsibilities may include but are not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Communicate with customers to define project requirements, interpret and explain design, and build relationships;
  • Design control strategies to optimize performance;
  • Manage and perform the design, configuration, documentation, and testing of complex process control systems;
  • Provide site support including commissioning, troubleshooting, startup, regular outage support, and system maintenance;

When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following essential skills, abilities, and experience:

  • Degree/diploma in electrical or computer engineering OR an Industrial Electrician with process controls and optimization experience;
  • Resourceful, self-managed, and goal driven;
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, including the ability to present to others;
  • Authorized to work in the United States.

Other valued, but non-essential skills, abilities, and experience include:

  • Experience in industrial control system troubleshooting, design, and configuration;
  • Proficiency with any of the following platforms: Honeywell Experion, Foxboro I/A, ABB, and/or Rockwell ControlLogix;
  • Consulting engineering experience;
  • Instrumentation and electrical troubleshooting;
  • Commissioning, construction, and start-up experience;
  • Pulp & Paper industry experience.
