Duties
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As a Contract Specialist, you will use your knowledge and experience to optimize business results and customer experience by:
- Developing solicitations for offers, including special or innovative documents to competitively procure systems or services.
- Planning the negotiation strategy, coordinates with the negotiation team and other necessary entities such as legal counsel, inspector general for audits and subordinate activities.
- Preparing and maintaining acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts and related schedules.
- Serving as lead negotiator. Planning the negotiation strategy, coordinates with the negotiation team and other necessary entities such as legal counsel, inspector general for audits and subordinate activities.
- Performing the full range of contract administration including the issuance of contract modifications, negotiation of changes, exercise of options, investigation and resolution of contractor delays, issuance of cure notices or show cause letters.
