Shifts may vary based on departmental needs. This position is on-site.Job SummaryThe Medical Records Clerk Chief serves as team lead responsible for the oversight of Health Information Management (HIM) functions within a designated section of the HIM department. This position is responsible for the completion all tasks for assumed area of HIM with knowledge of IT systems. The Medical Records Clerk Chief will serve as point person for communication, issue resolution and escalation, coordinate coverage and support team in meeting productivity goals. This position provides training and support to healthcare staff who work within the patient health record while maintaining compliance with policies and procedures and regulatory standards.Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesThe ideal candidate will be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word and Excel; experience and knowledge in using Outlook, 3M, SCM, SRM, APM, AEHR, HQPM & PICIS; have high attention to detail; excellent communication skills (both written & verbal); ability to work in a fast-paced changing environment; ability to be flexible and to learn new things quickly. Medical Terminology, HIPAA competency and working knowledge of regulatory compliance essential.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?
