The Office of Admission is seeking an Admissions Program Manager I (Associate Director for Multicultural Partnerships). This position shares responsibility with an additional program manager/associate director to develop and implement a comprehensive recruitment and yield plan for multicultural students, focusing on underrepresented minority students. In addition, the populations served will also include first-generation and low income prospective students. This position is needed to perform the following responsibilities:


• Focusing on local and national organizations, develop recruitment and communication strategies for multicultural and underrepresented students that integrate with the overall recruitment and communication plan


• Lead the University and Office of Admission engagement with internal and external diversity-related organizations that support the University's strategy. This will include CBO (community based organization) relationship development and event coordination.


• Primary liaison with contracted organizations to meet institutional agreements.


• Co-lead Office of Admission Multicultural Recruitment Committee with associate director for multicultural recruitment.


• Serve as secondary liaison to internal multicultural support and alumni organizations


• Lead territory managers to facilitate relationships in their respective assigned territories with community based organizations for first-year and transfer recruitment


• Identify and design appropriate outreach activities for engagement to meet University mission and strategic plan


• Develop and co-lead year-round trainings that contributes to a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills and strategies to engage with those of other cultures and backgrounds


• Provide mentorship, leadership, and guidance in areas pertaining to multicultural recruitment


• Provide timely and relevant reports regarding measurable outcomes and goals


• Supervise a team of admission officers in all aspects of their work.


• Manage a recruitment territory which includes spending 3-5 weeks visiting high schools, building and maintaining relationships with high school and college counselors, evaluating all applications from territory, and making connections with prospective students and parents in order to provide top-notch customer service during the recruitment, application, and spring conversion process.

In addition, the associate director is a member of the undergraduate admission management team. We seek an individual with significant admission experience to join our admission team and provide leadership in the areas indicated above.

The annual base salary range for this position is $83, $95, When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
