Job Description
Preparation/filing of all sales and use tax returns (U.S. and Canada)Preparation/filing of all U.S. personal property tax returns.Handling all real estate tax payments, and monitoring of tax assessments notices, and working with outside advisors on any real estate tax appealsProvide technical assistance to key stakeholdersIdentification and recommendation of internal controls to standardize policies and procedures to centralize, automate and support the timely and accurate reporting of sales & use and personal property tax filings.Manage external service providers (ex. The Successful Applicant
Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Tax3-5 years of equivalent experiencesUnderstanding of indirect taxesProven ability to research tax matters, communicate results and recommend solutions.Experience working with multiple stakeholders (i.e. operations, accounting, treasury) on tax matters.Understanding of the capabilities of, and hands on experience with Avalara sales & use tax software.Must be detail oriented, self-starter with the ability to multi-task, and complete work timely and accurately.Ability to review processes and identify improvements to develop best practices.Strong written and communication skillsProficiency with Microsoft suite of products (i.e., Excel, Word)Knowledge and experience working with different ERP systemsProficiency working with CCH Fixed Asset Manager software What's on OfferCompetitive pay and a strong benefits structure
