Gresham Investment Management LLC is seeking an experienced Operations & Infrastructure Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting and enhancing our operations and development processes, with a specific focus on Charles River (order management system), Geneva (portfolio accounting system), and proprietary systems for workflow management and performance reporting. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent critical thinking skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced financial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Integration and Development. Develop, maintain, and enhance integration solutions between Gresham's trading infrastructure applications.
  • Automation. Create and implement automation scripts and tools to streamline operational processes.
  • Data Management. Ensure accurate and efficient data flow between systems, managing data integrity and consistency.
  • Support. Provide technical support for in-house applications (e.g., for performance reporting) and hosted applications (e.g., Charles River, Geneva), troubleshooting issues, and implementing fixes.
  • Collaboration. Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other Gresham stakeholders (e.g., Investor Relations) to understand their needs and develop solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
  • Documentation. Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, processes, and integrations.
  • Continuous Improvement. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance the overall performance of our systems.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience working in a similar role, preferably within the financial services sector.
  • Knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational databases.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Python.
  • Possess an understanding of API integrations and data exchange protocols.

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Possess an understanding of financial markets and trading concepts.
  • Possess hands-on experience with order management and accounting systems such as Charles River or Geneva experience.
  • Familiarity with Linux/Unix operating systems.
  • Familiarity with automation tools and frameworks.
  • Desire to build robust, scalable solutions rather than implement quick fixes.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Effective communication skills and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a strong attention to detail and a results-oriented mindset.

Anticipated Posting End Date:

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
