Summary

Spire is hiring a Compensation & Benefits Analyst at its downtown St. Louis (MO) location.

The Compensation & Benefits Analyst will leverage analytical skills to help evaluate market data, assist in preparing competitive offer packages, conduct monthly reviews of benefits data, and partner across the team to complete Spire's annual compensation review processes.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner with team members to conduct regular market pricing reviews to keep compensation competitive within our industry pay practices.
  • Evaluate positions using industry relevant survey information to formulate salary recommendations.
  • Assist in the annual compensation planning cycle including testing and ensuring proper functionality of compensation planning system.
  • Assist in the preparation of compensation presentations and communicate information to all levels of the company.
  • Stay current on federal regulations related to compensation.
  • Review and maintain salary structures and pay grades on a yearly basis.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential data on a continuous basis.
  • Support the day to day administration of Total Rewards systems and connections to third party vendors, including managing eligibility, data integrity, reviewing, tracking and managing specifications documents.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • None
Required Education (certifications, licenses)

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Finance or similar business discipline
Required knowledge, skill and abilities

0-3 years' experience with responsibility in finance, data analytics, or other relevant business function

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate data
  • Technical aptitude with the knowledge to utilize Excel including sums, v/lookups and pivot tables.
-1-2 years' experience in compensation preferred.

  • Compensation database knowledge preferred.
Physical demands, environment and schedule

  • Work is performed in a shared, open office environment
  • Hybrid Working Hours: Typically, 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, with the option to work remote 2 days per week following onboarding
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
