Job Role and Responsibility:
AMD, Inc. is hiring Sr. Equipment Engineers to Lead test equipment technical staff.

Responsible for:

Semiconductor Automated test equipment (ATE) driving operating efficiencies, machine capacity and capabilities; equipment & new product qualification; and equipment setup and debugging execution.

Generate equipment & process procedure conduct briefing and training.

Work with cross-functional teams, including engineers to develop quality manufacturing and production processes, working on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

Drive projects or processes of significant technical importance. Exercise independent judgment to select methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Apply knowledge of engineering principles, best practices, and technologies.

Qualifications:
Degree required

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications:

Amount and type of experience required: Five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.


Alternate combination of education and experience: In lieu of a bachelor's degree and five (5) years of experience, employer will accept seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or closely related engineering role.


Specific skills required:

The following skills are required:
Position requires five (5) years of experience in the following:

  • Hardware or software verification;
  • Functional verification of microprocessors;
  • Design flows and methodologies used for chip verification;
  • Unix or Linux environments;
  • Using Lean Six Sigma Tool (DMAIC) and statistic tool (Minitab or JMP);
  • Generating ATE equipment PM, operation and process specifications;
  • ATE testing FTR (first time right) and yield improvement; and
  • ATE Equipment development & continuous improvement.
Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
