Summary

The Supervisory Management and Program Analyst will report directly to the Deputy Director of the Health Eligibility Center (HEC) and reviews the design, development, implementation, modification, and maintenance of data reporting, analytics, and integrity of HEC programs.

The Supervisory Management and Program Analyst is also responsible for providing expert advice on the quality, compliance, and corrective action program evaluation and measurement though a Quality Assurance program.

Duties

Major Duties Include (but are not limited to): Develops new ways to resolve major administrative problems and evaluates and makes appropriate recommendations to ensure successful program implementation; Coordinates with agency leadership and managers to develop plans that will resolve serious business process issues and situations; Reviews the design, development, implementation, modification, and maintenance of data reporting, analytics, and integrity of agency programs; Develops common data sets that allow a more complete and full understanding of agency departments and their programs; Defines processes and procedures for obtaining necessary information for quality and corrective action program management and evaluation; Plans and assigns work, sets priorities, advises employees on program goals and objectives and makes decisions on work problems presented by subordinate employees; Sets performance standards and appraises work of employees; Hears and resolves employee complaints and refers more serious grievances to higher authority with recommendations for resolution; and Independently plans work priorities, develops procedures, and takes necessary actions to achieve effective and timely completion of assignments.

Promotion Potential: This GS-13 position is being announced at the full performance level.

Work Schedule: M-F, 8 hour shift between 7AM-5PM (TBD by Supervisor)

Position Location:
This position is physically located in one of the following Member Services locations: Atlanta, Georgia; Topeka, Kansas; Fort Riley, Kansas; Waco, Texas; Hot Springs, South Dakota; or Canandaigua, New York. Employee must reside within 50 miles of the assigned Member Services facility or VA Medical Center (and within the continental United States).
