We are seeking a highly skilled Manager, Data Science & Analytics (Amazon) to join our team. Reporting to the Director, Data Science & Analytics (Amazon), the Manager, Data Science & Analytics is primarily responsible for the build and execution of reporting and analytical projects while also contributing to strategic initiatives. The ideal Manager, Data Science & Analytics will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of the Amazon ecosystem, and a passion for leveraging data to drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute reporting and analytical projects to support the Amazon marketplace strategy.
- Develop and maintain reports and dashboards using tools like Tableau and Power BI to track performance metrics and present findings to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement Amazon-specific strategies based on data-driven insights.
- Utilize advanced data analytics, including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, data mining, and machine learning, to support decision-making and strategic planning.
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of a Global Amazon Reporting Center of Excellence.
- Manage data collection, integration, validation, and storage processes to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
- Support process automation and AI/ML integration initiatives.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform reporting and analytical projects.
- Identify opportunities to enhance business processes and drive operational efficiency through data insights.
Your Role within the Team:
- Foster a data-driven culture, leveraging data analytics for informed decision-making.
- Provide insights from data analytics, identifying trends and opportunities to support business decisions.
- Contribute to the development of forward-looking data strategies to create new competitive advantages.
- Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Mentor junior data professionals and support their development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain dashboards (Tableau / Power BI) to support information requirements.
- Implement data analytic tools to enhance data analytics capabilities.
- Identify and interpret trends in complex data sets.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and robust data security measures.
- Stay informed about advancements in data analytics, technologies, and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with the Amazon Data Science & Analytics Director on strategic initiatives to optimize the Amazon marketplace performance.
- Support the execution of strategic projects that align with the company's overall objectives and growth plans.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a data analytics role, preferably in the CPG industry or a related field.
- Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, computer science, statistics, or a related field.
- Expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, data mining, and machine learning techniques.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
- Experience with big data platforms, cloud-based data analytics solutions, and data warehousing.
- Strong business acumen and ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices related to data privacy and security.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with Amazon Vendor & Seller Central, Digital Shelf Tools, Full Funnel Media, and Audience Marketing Cloud data sets.
