Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team. The Accountant will be responsible for managing various financial tasks, including maintaining accurate records, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
  2. Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  3. Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights and recommendations to management.
  4. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
  5. Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
  6. Assist in the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations.
  7. Conduct regular audits of financial procedures and practices to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with internal controls.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and guidance for decision-making.
  9. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, regulations, and best practices, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  10. Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  11. Provide support during internal and external audits, including preparing supporting documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  12. Handle ad hoc financial analysis and reporting tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  2. 2-4 years of experience in accounting or a related role.
  3. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  4. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
  5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team.
  8. CPA certification or progress toward certification is preferred but not required.
  9. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  10. Proactive attitude and willingness to take initiative to drive process improvements.
  11. Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
