At PACE of Southwest Michigan, we are looking for an experienced Physical Therapy Assistant to join our expanding team. If you are passionate about helping seniors maintain their independence and well-being, this might be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in treatment procedures as directed by the Physical Therapist
- Conduct nursing home and home site visits as necessary
- Maintain documentation and department records
- Operate equipment safely and orderly
- Deliver training to caregivers and family members
- Review restorative care plans with the PT
- Abide by all PACE of Southwest Michigan policies
- Complete home visits when required
- Perform other assigned duties
Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical setting
- Certification: Active Physical Therapy Assistant certification in Michigan, CPR certification, and National Provider Identifier (NPI) number
- Skills and Knowledge: Autonomy, attention to detail, organizational skills, communication skills, flexibility, knowledge of elderly care needs, interpersonal skills, computer literacy
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, perform physical tasks related to elderly care, and travel in varying weather conditions
