Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Monitor and record patient vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Assist with patient transfers, ambulation, and positioning.
  • Perform various clerical duties, such as answering phones, taking messages, and updating patient records.
  • Participate in patient care treatments and procedures, such as wound care, skin care, and catheter insertion.
  • Support the patient care unit operations by observing, reporting, and following up on patient complaints and concerns.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous patient care experience preferred.
  • Nurse Assistant certification preferred.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS/CPR) certification required within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and handle multiple activities concurrently.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a patient care environment with frequent changes in job demands and possible exposure to biohazards.

Physical demands include standing for prolonged periods, pushing carts, and lifting patients up to 35 pounds unassisted.
