Primary Responsibilities:

  • Aid in the areas of quality management within the laboratory.
  • Generate reports and compile metrics for quality reviews.
  • Help ensure laboratory maintains current federal, state, and local licensure and accreditation (as applicable).
  • Assist Quality Manager in compiling documentation necessary for license renewal, etc.
  • Assist in document control and management of policies and procedures.
  • Assist with inspection readiness activities, and with on-site audits and inspections.
  • Coordinate continuing education opportunities.
  • Participate in Quality projects as assigned.
  • Maintain filing system for various QS records
  • Documenting QMR minutes in a timely fashion

EHS Responsibilities:

  • Attend all required EHS training
  • Wear appropriate PPE as required
  • Comply with applicable federal, state, and local regulations, IG/LC EHS policies, procedures and the requirements of accrediting organizations
  • Conduct work in a safe and environmentally responsible manner

Qualifications requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in biological/chemical/physical science is preferred
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience is also preferred.
  • Strong computer skills, including but not limited to the following Microsoft Office applications: Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
