Mechanical Engineering Co-op

The Business Area ContiTech develops, produces and markets products, systems and intelligent components made from rubber, plastic, metal and textiles. These products are used in mining, the agricultural industry, railway engineering mechanical and plant engineering, the automotive industry and other important sectors of the future.

This assignment provides a diverse experience in the functions and needs of a rubber manufacturing group. The selected individual will be involved in the support of the Mechanical and Process Engineering Team

JOB DUTIES


• Update and create CAD models for manufacturing machinery and tooling


• Support machine design and modification projects


• Work on data gathering to help assist in process improvement projects

REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

Minimum GPA 3.0; 15 credit hours completed

Minimum 1.5 years of remaining undergraduate studies

Minimum 1.0 years of CAD experience through school or employment (Solidworks, Inventor, Creo, etc.)

DESIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:

2+ years remaining until completion of a Bachelor's degree

Fundamental mechanical design experience

Mechanical Engineering major is preferred but will consider any Engineering degree

  • Flexible work schedule to work around school schedule
  • Ability to flex up to 40 hours per week when school is not in session.
