Be part of a growing team of risk analysts, strategists and problem solvers on the Single-Family Credit Risk Analytics, Reporting, and Technology team (ART). Our Impact:

The Credit Risk Analytics, Reporting, and Technology (ART) team provides monitoring, analytics and reporting of credit risk for our newly purchased loan portfolio. The work products from ART help set our single-family risk appetite, assist Credit Policy in evaluating credit expansion initiatives, provide tools for our internal partners to assess performance of the 1,000+ counterparties that sell us loans, and support monthly reporting for senior management on emerging risks. ART is responsible for keeping our finger on the pulse of the mortgages we buy and their performance, ensuring that they remain within the firm's risk tolerance. We are data focused, tech savvy, analytical, and knowledgeable about the mortgage markets. Our partners and executives rely on us to develop creative, efficient solutions and deliver high-impact results.

Your Impact:
  • You will identify, monitor and report emerging risks, credit trends, and loan performance drivers, operating on very large datasets with tools such as Tableau and MicroStrategy as well as coding platforms like Python, SQL, SAS, and R
  • As a Senior Analyst, you will take end-to-end ownership of risk reports, special projects and analyses and will be expected to mentor junior resources on the team. You will cross-team with colleagues to advance broader initiatives, and you will synthesize your findings and present them clearly in diverse formats to various audiences.
  • You will design and implement new analytical and reporting tools, applying appropriate testing and change management protocols, calling out gaps, and ensuring that processes are well documented and controlled.
Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent experience in a highly quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Finance, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering with 3+ years specific mortgage experience
  • Minimum 5+ years related professional experience
  • 4+ years in data analytics using business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau or programming in Python, SAS, SQL, or R
  • Thorough understanding of credit and financial risks and the mortgage life cycle.
