Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting, internal control, and financial reporting operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of distribution accounting principles to contribute to the Company's success.

This is an ONSITE opportunity in Apex, NC - relocation assistance will not be provided.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
  • Supervise the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and monitoring cash flow.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, and other management reports to support decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Develop and maintain internal controls and procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and purchasing, to optimize processes and drive efficiency.
  • Support the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing insights and analysis to assist in setting financial targets and goals.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors during audits and tax filings, ensuring timely and accurate submission of required documentation.
  • Mentor and coach accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA certification highly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Solid understanding of distribution accounting principles, including inventory costing, revenue recognition, and freight/logistics accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Experience with inventory management systems and distribution ERP software is a plus
