Build your career as a recruiter with our UCLA External Affairs (EA) team. We are looking for an Associate Recruiter who will work directly with managers and job candidates leading the recruitment process for our Assistant and Associate Director level fundraising positions. This is an excellent, remote/hybrid opportunity for someone wanting to make a positive impact while they shape their career as a recruiter. In our positive and supportive team environment, you will grow and deepen skills in finding, screening, interviewing and assessing candidates. You will make a vital contribution to bringing greater diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging to EA through the purposeful work, you do.

As our Associate Recruiter, you will use your excellent client/customer service and active listening skills to generate interest and identify outstanding candidates for current and future fundraising openings, screening and evaluating candidate's professional skills and competencies. In addition, you will work with EA's Talent Acquisition team to support the recruitment process and maintain the management of our pipeline cultivation. As an Associate Recruiter, you will be responsible for ensuring that hiring practices are applied equitably, consistently and in compliance with university policies, and laws. You will be a valued member of our team provided with the guidance and resources to succeed as part of the many growth opportunities we offer at UCLA.

Required/Preferred

1. Minimum of three years of prior experience in a recruitment role in HR, talent acquisition/management, with a search firm, in fundraising or related field.

2. Ability to understand the fundraising field in-depth, jobs, roles, skills, organizational structure, and to identify and analyze long term staffing needs.

3. Ability to understand, evaluate and implement recruiting policies, protocols and laws and consistently track applicant status.

4. Demonstrated good judgment, confidentiality and discretion in communicating with colleagues and constituents.

5. High-level interpersonal skills to develop and maintain a high level of professionalism and honesty while building credibility, trust and respect with both internal and external constituents.

6. Strong organizational, time and project management skills that facilitate ability to handle multiple searches at the same time, including client and candidate portfolios.

7. Excellent listening skills, ability to encourage and elicit information from candidates, hiring managers and references.
