Frost Band of The Hour Teacher/Instructor

The Frost Band of the Hour (FBOTH)Teacher/Instructor Academic Year) is

a position that requires someone with insight, foresight, and a general overall perspective of the FBOTH and where it stands among its comparable university athletic bands.

The role is expected to assist in the following ways (but is not limited to):

  • Teaching or running of rehearsal with percussion or full band as necessary (including potential pep band/tournaments/etc)
  • Teaching/Running of band performances at recruitment events
  • Assisting administration with Athletic Bands logistics and knowledge transfer of key functions.
  • Help with percussion needs (writing, instruction, running of rehearsal, teaching).
  • Be a point of contact for students and leadership in the FBOTH with questions or concerns and liaise with new faculty and staff.
  • Be on call for advice and connection with necessary teams on campus at Miami.
