Work Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday - Friday between 7:30 am - 8:00 pm PST OR Weekends 8:00 am - 7:00 pm PST

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Enter all compounds are prepared in accordance with USP and USP guidelines
  • Ensure all calculations on compounding worksheets are accurate and correct, record compounding procedures, lot and expiration dates of ingredients/supplied used
  • Responsible for inspection, cleaning, operating, and maintenance of all compounding equipment, instruments, and work surfaces necessary/required for the sterile preparations
  • Proper use, and calibrate equipment needed in making sterile compounds
  • Consistently meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining a good attendance record
  • Fulfillment of prescription orders
  • Maintaining housekeeping standards in the compounding areas (daily and monthly cleaning tasks in all work areas, including work surfaces, floors, walls, etc.)
  • Demonstrate job knowledge and proficiency in sterile compounding by participating in training and re-training opportunities
  • Tracking, ordering, and maintaining inventory supplies, consumables, and other required items in and outside the SPC suite
  • Coordinate compounding preparation schedules by communicating with colleagues to better execute quality assurance of
    compounding procedures

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED (or higher)
  • Active Pharmacy Technician in the State of Nevada
  • 1+ years of Sterile compounding experience
  • 6+ months of experience with insurance claims processing, rejection, and resolution
  • 6+ months experience/knowledge of laws and regulations in regards to scope of practice
  • Intermediate level of proficiency with computers using Windows PC applications, and the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
  • Ability to work variable shifts which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Mon-Fri hours: 7:30am - 8pm, Sat/Sun: 8am-7pm

Preferred Qualifications:

  • National certification as a Pharmacy Technician
  • 2+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
  • Experience with various insurances, pre-approval & authorizations process, and rejections

Nevada Residents Only: The hourly range for Nevada residents is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour.
