Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in the Oncology department. As a Pharmacy Technician - Oncology Admixture, you will play a critical role in supporting the admixture of chemotherapy under the direction of an Oncologist. Your expertise will ensure high-quality evidence-based infusion therapy, and you will work closely with the chemotherapy RN group in the infusion center to achieve this goal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support for the admixture of chemotherapy under the direction of an Oncologist.
- Work closely with the chemotherapy RN group in the infusion center to ensure high-quality evidence-based infusion therapy.
- Report to the Oncology Pharmacy Director.
- Support Pharmacy Services in Community-Based Care and Specialty-Based Care locations.
- Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within the job scope.
- Responsible for all actions/responsibilities as described in company-controlled documentation for this position.
- Contribute to and support the corporation's quality initiatives by planning, communicating, and encouraging team and individual contributions toward the corporation's quality improvement efforts.
- Consistently exhibit behavior and communication skills that demonstrate HealthCare Partners' commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care, and concern with each and every internal and external customer.
Requirements:
- Current pharmacy technician license in the state of practice.
- Current knowledge of state and federal regulations and statutes regarding the practice of pharmacy and the distribution of approved drugs, controlled substances, and investigational agents.
- Oncology IV admixture experience is preferred.
Work Environment:
This is a Monday to Friday 8-5pm position at our Clinic Oncology - San Martin location in Las Vegas, Nevada.
