Summary

The Training Support Analyst schedules aircrew students for USAF Program Flying Training (PFT) courses in accordance with associated Syllabus of Instruction. Schedules Government Use Time, students, instructors, Contractor appointments, flights, Military Operations Areas (MOA), special use airspace, air refueling routes, drop zones, low level routs, training devices, classrooms, systems, and support resources, as well as mitigate scheduling conflicts, generate scheduling reports, provide initial and updated scheduling notices, schedule updates, etc., utilizing GTIMS, as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • The Scheduler schedules aircrew students for USAF Program Flying Training (PFT) courses in accordance with associated Syllabus of Instruction.
  • Schedules Government Use Time, students, instructors, Contractor appointments, flights, Military Operations Areas (MOA), special use airspace, air refueling routes, drop zones, low level routs, training devices, classrooms, systems, and support resources, as well as mitigate scheduling conflicts, generate scheduling reports, provide initial and updated scheduling notices, schedule updates, etc., utilizing GTIMS, as required.
  • Ensure schedules are kept current to within two (2) hours of making scheduling changes; Will schedule training five (5) days per week, Monday through Friday and may flex to seven (7) days per week, with Government approval, or use dual shifts to accomplish on-time graduation requirements while maintaining required training standards. Will schedule each student for eight (8) hours of instruction of new testable material per training day to the greatest extent possible. Will schedule all Government Use Time for each device, each month typically between the hours of 0600 to 2200.
  • Attends weekly maintenance meetings to schedule static training.
  • Trains new or junior Schedulers as needed.
  • Accountable to the Training Resource Manager for Scheduler functions with regard to data accuracy, maintaining database integrity and security; adherence to all site policies and procedures

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications--particularly Microsoft Office Suite, STORM, and GTIMS applications
  • Report generation and training scheduling experience
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in attention to detail
  • Demonstrated proficiency in time management and multitasking
  • Applicant will be subject to a US Government security investigation and must meet the eligibility requirements to obtain and maintain the required security clearance for this position (Secret)
  • Ability and willingness to work in fast paced, high stress environment, while maintaining a good working relationship with all members of the team, all customers, and management.

Preferred Skills

  • Instructional systems development knowledge/background helpful.
  • Previous experience in military or civilian Training Resource Management preferred.
  • Previous experience utilizing Training Management Systems/Learning Management Systems.
  • Previous experience utilizing STORM/GTIMS (Training Management System).

Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.
