The Claims Data & Analytics Manager (Analytics Lead) is responsible for supporting the Claims organization by providing analytics and reporting to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness within specialized claims lines. The right candidate will bring a balance of analytical, data strategy, execution, and communication skills to the table. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust and Claims organization.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with Claims and Actuarial department heads to coordinate complex analysis of specialized claims trends and patterns.
- Drives the creation of a robust data foundation for the specialized Claims lines, including partnering with outside data sources
- Learns business processes and understand relevant data.
- Adept at evaluating and pivoting large and ambiguous data sets with an ability to spot trends and present business insights.
- Prepares deliverables for, and collaborates with, senior leaders and cross-functional teams.
- Supports Claims leadership team with ad-hoc requests.
- Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree
- 6+ years financial or operational analytical experience
- Strong level of comfort with Claims/Insurance industry
- Experience with Office particularly Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Experience using writing advanced SQL with BI software suites
- Extensive prior experience in reporting and data visualization solutions, consulting or business analysis.
- Familarity with actuarial concepts, including the building and interpretation of triangles
- Ability to operate with limited managerial guidance
- MBA
- Background and/or experience in specialty/warranty claims
