Job PurposePlease Note: This position is an Entry Level (0-3 years experience) position. Sponsorship for employment visa status for these positions is unavailable. As a Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will review, analyze, and track various sources of market information. You must be able to utilize your technical knowledge to help identify market issues caused by the factory. In addition, you need to identify trends and/or shifts in data utilizing a statistical foundation. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for our mission and can take responsibility to focus on Market Quality needs and strive to innovate and continuously learn.
Key Accountabilities- Conduct technical analysis of multiple data sources (warranty claims, FQRs, tech lines, surveys, etc.) and gain a deep understanding of the data. Use this understanding and engineering fundamentals to help MQ model engineers investigate issues. Some technical reporting will also be required that needs to be very accurate and based on engineering principles.
- Correlate market data with in-house rejections, sampling items, and yard audit finds that will enable the factory teams to focus and prioritize top items both in-house and in the market. Use predicative analysis and technical knowledge to determine future growth of problems.
- Build macros, programs, queries, and other methods to improve efficiencies of running data.
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering with data analytics focus/ background or bachelor's degree in data analytics or statistics, or equivalent experience
- 0-6 years' experience dependent upon education level
- Strong communication, teamwork, positive attitude
- Advanced computer skills with strong coding capability with one or more programming languages (Excel VBA, C++, Python, SQL, etc.)
- Average of 0-2 hours OT per day, weekend work as needed.
- Ability to travel as needed, domestic and international.
- Flexibility in work hours and daily job function
