Mobile Low Voltage Technician for Retail Projects
We are seeking skilled Mobile Low Voltage Technicians with a background in commercial installations, particularly within large retail environments. This position involves executing data remodels, which include the installation of cabling, access points, audio-visual systems, and point-of-sale setups. Regular communication with the Project Manager is essential. Candidates should be proficient in operating lifts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installing and managing CAT 5 or CAT 6 cabling in new commercial construction projects
- Terminating telephone jacks and organizing distribution frames (66 or 110 blocks, patch panels)
- Setting up support structures such as ladders, racks, and j-hooks
Required Qualifications:
- Experience with low voltage projects in large retail settings
- Knowledge of BICSI, EIA, TIA, or NEC Standards
- Ability to use digital multi-meters and conduct cable testing
- Skills in troubleshooting network issues
- Experience with rack and stack work, including assembling server racks and patch panels
- Capability to read and interpret schematic and line diagrams
- Possession of basic telecom tools such as punch downs, snips, wire strippers, cordless drill, and personal protective equipment
- Experience in operating lifts
