Uses controller to download automated mail run data file (MRDF) to create and produce financial reports using the mainframe. Uses controller to monitor and perform restart procedures due to program/system failures, and to reset passwords.

Operates high speed electronic mail insertion equipment which includes barcode software and sets up the mail inserter and postage meter, making equipment adjustments as needed.

Sets up insertion chassis for mail jobs.
Operates and monitors printing system controller(s), roll feeder, paper drill and other peripheral equipment.

Ensures the total availability of the computer system(s) which includes single and multiconnected processors, magnetic tape units, magnetic disk units, remote terminals, etc.

Ensures that the correct meter, postage amount, date, envelope and insertion materials are used.
Provides all necessary information to maintain an audit trail. This includes writing problem reports and a variety of other logs. Attends shift turnover meetings daily.
