This position is part of the Quality Control Department located in Fargo, ND and will be on-site. You will be a part of the Quality Control Sequencing Team and report to the Director Quality Control responsible for supervising the Quality Control Sequencing Team and supporting the Environmental Monitoring and Stability Teams.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Supervise Aldevron's QC Sequencing program and personnel, following established standard operating procedures for material handling and processing, testing, data analysis, and reporting of results
  • Assist in providing a work environment for the development of staff, the improvement of methods, and the achievement of personal, departmental, and company goals.
  • Assign responsibilities, establish work hours, and monitor staff performance, including performance reviews.
  • Identify problems that may adversely affect department performance, take authorized corrective action and communicate appropriately
  • Ensure all background preparation work, such as ordering, is done within a timely manner to prevent delays to the manufacturing schedule

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in laboratory management or relevant experience
  • Experience working within a GMP/regulated environment, under a Quality System required
  • Experience in Sanger Sequencing and/or Next-Generation Sequencing & MicroSeq Software
  • Experience leading a team, good communication and organizational skills
  • Bachelor of Science in Biology, Chemistry, or Molecular Biology required, Master's degree preferred

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Sanger Sequencing and/or Next-Generation Sequencing
  • MicroSeq Software
