Job Description

  • To perform tasks to include but not limited to the following:
  • Unit Supervisor Trainee learns / understands the responsibility for training and maintaining a crew of 4 operators

where applicable and 4 formulators designated to their unit.

Works with the Unit Supervisor to oversee direct supervision of assigned personnel Responsible for Worker safety, dress, and working habits Understands accountability and control of processes and packaging Ensuring that manufacturing documentation / instructions are performed with accuracy Ensuring that Quality control system documentation and sampling are performed with accuracy Full understanding of generating maintenance work orders and requests Housekeeping and area cleanliness including in and around units Supervisor Trainee monitors and oversees / manages the morning shift changeThe SC Production Unit Supervisor Trainee will perform these functions in conjunction with production and packaging operations or any number of jobs other than what is described in their basic classification. This job is not a desk job, it will require supervisory trainee hours on the unit floor.

Qualifications

  • To perform this job satisfactory, the candidate must possess the following qualifications:
  • Capable of following detailed written and verbal work instructions in English
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of math and communication skills as it pertains to assigned tasks
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of the processes and equipment in the area to which assigned
  • Capable of troubleshooting, adjusting, and repairing processes and equipment in the area assigned
  • Capable of directly supervising assigned personnel in their area
  • Possess a strong working knowledge of current company policy regarding safety, waste disposal, and quality systems
  • Possess a working knowledge of computer system basics and operation, as it pertains to assigned tasks
  • Capable of supervising safe unit operations
  • Capable of operating a forklift.
  • Bilingual preferred (Eng/Spa)

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position.
  • Occasionally required to ascend/descend stairs
  • Ability to answer call outs before and after standard scheduled hours of work.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently
