Title: Data Engineer

The team at Advanced Analytics and Cloud Program in KBR is in search of a Senior Data Engineer for a potential opportunity in Bloomington, Indiana. This program focuses on assisting government clients in the Department of Defense on diverse projects leveraging technologies like machine learning, and cloud services.

If you take on this role, you will collaborate with a diverse group of professionals to tackle challenging problems. Please note that Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Engage with government stakeholders to comprehend user requirements, propose technological solutions, and implement them.
  • Collaborate with an innovative team specializing in AI/ML applications for the Department of Defense.
  • Concentrate on crafting cutting-edge analytics solutions via smart algorithms, artificial intelligence, and cloud technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and teamwork skills are necessary.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Citizenship: US Citizenship Required. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Clearance: Active DOD Secret clearance or ability to acquire and keep it.

Travel: Occasional travel might be expected.

Education: Bachelor's Degree

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience

Technical Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Azure encompassing Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL Databases.
  • Knowledge of AWS cloud services.
  • Strong in SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Expertise in ETL/ELT processes and constructing data pipelines.
  • Experience with data warehousing and lakes.
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Azure and/or AWS Certification(s)
  • Familiarity with sensor and vehicle health data
  • Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark
  • Proficiency in programming languages, including Python

Relocation: Preferred to Bloomington, Indiana (or nearby), remote work might be a possibility.
