This position is located at Departmental Offices, Management CFO- Info Systems and CIO.

As an IT Specialist (Sys Adm), you will provide Systems Administration and engineering support for The DO IT Network (DOIT), and assist in design, installation, operations and maintenance of all DOIT components.



Duties

As a/an IT Specialist (Sys Adm), you will:

  • Serve as a recognized technical authority, providing leadership and expert advice in planning and coordinating the installation, testing, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems;
  • Work on projects that involve the planning and scheduling the installation of new or specialized hardware, operating systems, and applications software;
  • Manage accounts, network rights, and access to extensive, complex systems and equipment; monitor systems resources to determine performance, capacity, and availability;
  • Implement security procedures and tools; develop and document standard operating procedures for advanced computer systems;
  • Resolve hardware/software interface and interoperability problems; ensure availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency of complicated systems; maintain IT configuration for extensive, complex, multi-tasked systems;
  • Oversee the installation and integration of advanced systems, fixes, updates, enhancements; ensure application of untried policies, principles, practices in computer service delivery.
