DESCRIPTION OF ROLE: Red Carrot is seeking a Project Manager to join a team supporting the Airman and Family Care Directorate. The individual filling this role will be an organized, detail-oriented, and personable teammate. The role will oversee and coordinates all aspects of workflow support, ensuring the successful execution of initiatives across multiple divisions within the Airman and Family Care Directorate.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Workflow Management:

  • Lead the analysis of operational needs and develop processes to support Military & Family Readiness, Casualty Matters, and Integrated Resilience initiatives.
  • Ensure consistent and high-quality execution of workflow processes by establishing best practices and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Oversee the implementation of workflow processes across multiple divisions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of the Air Force (DAF) policies.

Team Coordination:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between different divisions, facilitating communication and collaboration to ensure smooth operations.
  • Coordinate resource allocation, ensuring that the right personnel with the necessary skills are assigned to critical tasks.
  • Mentor and guide team members to enhance their performance and ensure they are equipped to meet project objectives.

Meeting Management:

  • Plan, schedule, and manage key meetings, including kick-off meetings, progress reviews, and virtual meetings.
  • Document meeting outcomes, action items, and ensure timely follow-up on all assigned tasks.
  • Maintain and update division calendars, ensuring all stakeholders are informed of upcoming events and deadlines.

Task Tracking:

  • Develop and maintain tracking tools to monitor the progress of tasks, deliverables, and project milestones.
  • Regularly report on task status to division chiefs and ensure that all deadlines are met with high-quality outputs.
  • Identify potential bottlenecks or risks in the workflow and proactively address them to avoid project delays.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Public Administration, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years project management experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role managing cross-functional teams in a government or military environment.
  • Experience with government contracting and familiarity with DoD policies is highly desirable.
  • Valid State Driver's License
