Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Phoenix, Arizona, United States tapwage Full time

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants in the Department of Urology on the Phoenix campus work within care teams comprised of both physicians and NP/PAs working collaboratively.

In a care team model, NP/PAs are partnered with individual physicians to support patient care needs of the team. In addition to supporting team based care, the NP/PA also maintains their own clinic with individual patients.

Together, the teams provide care for a wide range of patients across subspecialties including genitourinary oncology, female pelvic medicine and reconstructive urology, medical urology, endourology, and men's health and infertility.

The NP/PA role in Urology requires outpatient clinic only. There are no call or hospital rounding activities or assignments. NP/PA staff are in clinic daily with no weekend responsibilities. Within the clinical setting, NP/PAs provide evaluations and consults with indirect supervision and may be involved in outpatient procedures.

Additionally, the NP/PA team interacts and partners with resident and fellow staff, and is actively engaged in educational activities with rotating NP/PA students and the department's developing Urology NP/PA Fellowship Program.

During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience.

During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding.

You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording.

The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.

Experience in Urology as an APP, RN or in clinicals/fellowship is preferred
