Key Responsibilities

The Nurse Practitioner (NP) functions as an advanced practice nurse, offering both primary and specialized healthcare services to patients throughout their lifespan. Collaborating closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals, the NP ensures comprehensive care, fosters health education, and champions patient wellness.

  • Collaborates with the medical director to assume clinical responsibilities within the Nurse Practitioner's scope of practice, including: gathering patient histories, conducting physical assessments, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, establishing diagnoses, and managing care for prevalent illnesses and preventive health in both pediatric and adult populations.
  • Assists with patient admissions, transfers, or discharges within the healthcare system.
  • Makes appropriate referrals to specialists and community resources.
  • Engages in quality assurance and improvement initiatives.
  • Works within a multidisciplinary team to formulate care plans for patients and their families.
  • In addition to standard duties, the inpatient specialty NP will manage care for acutely ill patients, respond to emergencies, and may provide care in intensive care settings.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program for nurse practitioners.

A minimum of three years of clinical experience in the relevant specialty.

Possession of a Compact state or Arizona RN license (RN),
Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license (LIC APN),
National certification as a nurse practitioner in the relevant specialty under Arizona regulations: a.) CT NP-AACN, b.) CT NP-AANP, c.) CT NP-ANCC, or d) CT NP-PNCB,
Valid DEA registration (DEA).
Current certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support from the American Heart Association.

Compensation
Hourly pay rate of $86.79.
