Urology Associates of the Central Coast is a Urology practice based in San Luis Obispo that provides comprehensive urology services to the Central Coast, covering northern Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties. We are a physician-owned and operated practice that was founded 40 years ago. The central coast is approximately 90 miles north of Santa Barbara with a southern California climate without the traffic, high cost of living, and congestion of the state's more populated areas.
We are seeking candidates to join our growing practice comprised of seven physicians and three physician assistants. Our philosophy is to provide contemporary urologic care to our community while remaining an independent practice and achieving an amicable work/life balance. The subspecialties represented in our group include robotic oncology, female pelvic medicine, and male reconstructive urology. Ideal candidates would practice general urology, but sub-specialization is also welcome.
Physicians in our group cover the spectrum of early to late careers and enjoy raising families, cycling, hiking, surfing, and year-round access to outdoor activities afforded by living on the central coast. Our practice infrastructure allows physicians to focus on practicing medicine while our administrative team runs our business and clinic operations efficiently.
Highlights
Five clinical officesSurgical and inpatient services are provided through 3 local health systems (Common Spirit/dignity health, Tenet Health, and Lompoc Valley Medical Center). DaVinci SI robots are available in each health system.Mentorship, double scrubbing in OR available for new graduatesCompetitive starting salary with a well-defined 2-year partnership track, low buy-in, and production bonus as an associate.Benefits include a signing bonus, relocation assistance, health/dental/vision insurance, 401K, profit sharing, CME stipend, and 6 weeks paid vacation.1:7 weekend call currently. Weekday Call are distributed evenly amongst physicians in three different call pools to minimize weekday call commitments.Ancillary sources of income are available, including ambulatory surgery center ownership, ESWL service, and commercial real estate venture. We aim to find a good fit for long-term practice in our area. Transparency about our practice is our goal in physician recruiting, so we encourage newly trained and experienced urologists to inquire further.Salary: $425,000
