About the Role:
Soliant is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team in the San Luis Obispo, California area. As a school-based Occupational Therapist, you will have the opportunity to positively impact the lives of children by providing individualized occupational therapy services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students' needs and develop tailored treatment plans.
- Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in individual and group settings, promoting fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-care abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress and develop strategies to improve student outcomes.
- Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to goal setting and progress reviews.
- Develop and implement training programs to support school staff and parents in understanding and addressing students' occupational therapy needs.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current Occupational Therapist license in the state of California.
- Previous experience working with children or in a school setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of child development, sensory processing, and fine motor skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
