Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as an Apparel Production Assistant.
As an Apparel Production Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production process of our apparel line.
The ideal candidate should have 1-2 years of relevant experience in the fashion industry, possess strong organizational skills, and be detail-oriented.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic and growing company in the heart of New York City.
Responsibilities:
Assist the production team in managing the end-to-end production process of our apparel line, from concept to delivery.
Collaborate with designers, patternmakers, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of production samples.
Coordinate and maintain production schedules, ensuring deadlines are met and any issues or delays are promptly addressed.
Oversee the sourcing and procurement of materials, trims, and components required for production.
Conduct regular quality control inspections to ensure products meet the company's standards and specifications.
Manage and organize the production samples and maintain accurate records of all production-related documentation.
Communicate with overseas manufacturers and suppliers to track progress, address any production issues, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Assist in monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods.
Support the team in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new production techniques, and emerging technologies to contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes.
Qualifications:1-2 years of experience in apparel production, preferably in a similar role.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
Knowledge of garment construction, materials, and production processes.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with production software is a plus.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently.
Familiarity with overseas production and experience working with international suppliers is advantageous.
