Serves as a Contract Administrator assigned to a team that administers government contracts/grants/agreements for one or more contractors.
Incumbent is assigned a group of contract/grants/agreements for which the employee performs the full range of contract functions up to the point of signature, including contract administration and contract closeout.
Reviews new contracts to ensure all necessary clauses have been included.Monitors contractor performance for compliance with applicable laws, delivery schedules, payment provisions, contract data reporting requirements, and other contractual requirements.
Coordinates with the buying office on contractor's requests for waivers or deviations from contract terms.Reviews requests and meets with the contractor to ensure understanding of requirements.
Monitors contracts using various electronic systems and maintains electronic documentation.
Performs final closeout of assigned contracts; e.g., ensures delivery/inspection/acceptance of contractual end items, and ensures that all administrative/reporting actions have been resolved before recommending final closeout.
Researches policies and coordinates/integrates/implements contract administrative services.Performs contract administration functions, including funds cancelation, funds reconciliation, contract closeout, database integrity, and verifying contractor progress for approval of contract financing.
