This position is located in the Office of the District Manager, Office of Information and Technology (OI&T), End User Services (EUS). The purpose of the position is to serve as a senior analyst and Director of the Business Management and Analytics Section of District Operations.
Duties

Physical Demands: The work is sedentary. Some work may require walking and standing in conjunction with travel and to attendance at meetings and conferences away from the work site. Some employees may carry light items, such as papers, books, or small parts, or drive a motor vehicle. The work does not require any special physical effort.
Applicants selected for this position may be required to serve a one-year supervisory probationary period. Failure to successfully complete the supervisory probationary period will result in the employee being reassigned to a position in the agency of no lower grade and pay than the one the employee left to accept the supervisory or managerial position.
Major Duties:
- Program management oversight and operational supervision of the day-to-day operations, services, maintenance, and security activities for all customers within their immediate geographic area.
- The Director oversees the day-to-day administrative operations and services with direct responsibility for business analytics across District Operations.
- The incumbent exercises delegated authority to oversee the planning, direction, and timely execution of the business functions and associated activities across District Operations establishing priorities ensuring alignment with OI&T and VA goals and priorities.
- Position requires the application of fact-finding and investigative techniques; analytics; business metrics; oral and written communications; and development of presentations and reports.
- The position also requires an understanding of basic budgetary and financial management principle and techniques as they relate to long range planning of programs and objectives.
