If you're ready to apply your Enterprise Risk Management expertise, here some of the exciting duties you'll engage in:
Formulating and implementing an agency wide Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) program, which includes, but not limited to agency-wide risk program framework, strategy and develops risk management policies and procedures, that enable enterprise execution of the program.

- Providing expertise, leadership, and overall strategic guidance to the DCSA Chief of Staff, Chief Strategy Office (CSO), agency leaders and its workforce in areas such as risk assessment, risk management, program funding requirements, internal reviews and compliance with Federal regulations and evaluation of risk responses, including internal controls.

- Implementing strategies and providing guidance for improving risk management practices across the organization.

- Leveraging industry-leading practices to automate and integrate compliant tools that can support the execution of an ERM program.

- Overseeing the development of improved methodologies for identifying, quantifying, and reporting on risks affecting the organization and the organization's overall Risk Profile.

- Supervises and provides day-to-day direction to a staff of management and program analysts, supporting DCSA's enterprise risk management and internal controls program.

- Developing and fostering professional relationships with peers internal and external to the agency, to promote the implementation and sustainment of DCSA's enterprise risk management and internal controls program.

    Applicant must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position.

    You must have specialized experience sufficient to demonstrate that you have acquired all the competencies necessary to perform at a level equivalent in difficulty, responsibility, and complexity to the next lower grade GG/GS 14 in the Federal service and are prepared to take on greater responsibility.
    Generally, this would include one year or more of such specialized experience. Specialized experience for this position includes: Expert knowledge of the latest risk and fraud management frameworks, approaches, and areas of inquiry across government, defense and industry; Experience in developing and implementing for risk management principals at the organizational level, including internal controls, program evaluation, assessments, and overseeing process operation; Experience in expert planning, analysis, and advice to management for implementing and improving risk management and internal controls program(s); Expert knowledge of federal programs and policies regarding enterprise risk management, risk management compliance, and internal controls; Experience overseeing and/or leading in-depth research projects to identify emerging risks, root causes, interdependencies, risk trajectories and related findings to inform agency risk focus, appetite, and assessments.

    Specifically you will be evaluated on the following competencies:

    2. Business Analysis -Defining needs and recommending solutions that deliver value to process improvement, communication management, strategic planning, and policy development.

    3. Influence and Negotiation- Establishes and maintains relationships with key individuals/groups; understands what motivates them. Persuades others; builds consensus through give and take; gains cooperation from others to obtain information, find solutions, and accomplish goals.

    4. Problem Solving -Identifies and analyzes problems; weighs relevance and accuracy of information; seeks/generates and evaluates alternative perspectives/solutions; makes timely/ effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions. Critically evaluates to identify the causes of problems and chooses courses of action that balance the interests of the mission and stakeholders.

    5. Strategic Thinking- Formulates objectives and priorities and implements plans consistent with the long-term interests of the organization in a global environment that takes into consideration the environment, resources, capabilities, constraints, and organizational goals and values. Capitalizes on opportunities and manages risks and contingencies, recognizing the implications for the organization and stakeholders.
