We are seeking an Internal Audit Manager (QA) for our Internal Audit Division (IA). We are seeking a someone with significant Internal Audit experience who is interested in doing QA on Internal Audit. Please only apply if you have recent Internal Audit experience.

The incumbent will be responsible for performing quality assurance reviews (QAR) and driving key quality improvement initiatives. They will execute reviews over audits and other audit activities, evaluating for conformance with internal policies and internal auditing professional standards. They will report on findings and share results with leadership and professional staff.

Execution of Internal Audit Quality Assurance Projects

  • Completes assigned quality and focused reviews
  • Documents work in line with audit documentation standards
  • Drafts quality reports and presents results to leadership
  • Reviews the work of junior staff

Quality Assurance & Improvement Plan (QAIP) Annual Plan Development & Monitoring

  • Develops, monitors, and reports on QAR plan progress
  • Assists in implementing the annual plan and delivering projects under timelines
Identification and Execution of Continuous Improvement Activities
  • Identifies issues and opportunities for continuous improvement that demonstrate insightful analysis and sound audit judgment
  • Provides practical, innovative, and valuable solutions to identified issues
  • Reviews internal and external assessments to identify broad themes or trends
  • Provides training and mentorship based on quality assurance findings, trends, and policy changes
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of combined experience in business/IT auditing both internally and externally
  • Bachelor's degree (BA or BS), Master's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration strongly preferred
  • Experience in performing quality assurance reviews (QAR) of internal audit strongly desired
  • Relevant professional certification required (e.g., CIA, CPA, and/or CISA)
  • Knowledge of the mortgage industry
  • Knowledge of IIA's International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF)
Keys to Success in this Role:
  • Proficient business area audit experience (Finance, Capital Markets, Consumer Credit) and/or in Information Technology (IT)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills among all levels of business partners
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and good judgment for evaluating IA work quality
  • Solid understanding of Internal Audit and applicable professional standards
  • Effective project management skills

The anticipated annualized base salary range for this position is $111,000 to $167,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program.
