As a Software Engineering Director – Martech within PNC's Business Technology Innovation organization, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA or one of our technology hub locations (Cleveland, OH; Birmingham, AL; Dallas, TX or Phoenix, AZ). The position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at the manager's discretion.
This exciting leadership role will report to the Chief Information Officer for Shared Services Technology and will support and partner closely with the PNC's marketing team to enhance and build out leading edge martech solutions for PNC's leading-edge marketing, sales and data teams.
These solutions will provide our marketing team with capabilities for omnichannel engagement, marketing modernization, performance marketing, digital marketing, and marketing measurement; driving innovative technology solutions with a robust roadmap that streamline and maximize impact of marketing programs and resources that increase the impact our campaigns have to our business.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

• Technical depth with martech solutions in addition to a strong marketing acumen

• Subject Matter Expert on current and emerging martech (Adobe Suite, Firefly, Salesforce Marketing, Braz, Stencil, Google Platform DDC, Pega, and others)

• Strong marketing strategy acumen (B2B/B2C)

• Player/Coach leader of senior technology professionals (Software Development/Application Architecture/Application Deployment and Servicing)

• Application Programming Interface (API)

• Agile Philosophy and DevOps Methodology

• CI/CD and Automation

• Cloud Computing

• Success navigating large, complex organizational structures

• Ability to communicate effectively to senior leadership

Job Description

  • Directs all activities and initiatives related to application services for an entire organization or for major clients.
  • Directs and manages the delivery of large or complex application development projects. Defines strategies and client needs focused on technology development.
  • Maintains relationships with clients; communicates with IT and business management. Monitors prompt response and support for technical issues.
  • Ensures high standards and quality of technical work. Directs reviews of tools and technologies for improving performance and reducing costs.
  • Directs, motivates, develops and manages the performance of the management team and key staff.

In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job specific certification(s), and experience (including military service) may be considered.
