As a part of our manufacturing group, you will be responsible for supporting production packaging and processing operations, sanitation responsibilities and forklift operation. This position is for full-time seasonal production employment to begin in June 2024 and continue through October 2024 Seasonal Production employees have the potential to be considered for full-time employment opportunities based on business need and individual performance Seasonal Production employees must be willing to work ANY shift, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed This position does not have benefits Shift hours: 8-hour shifts (Monday through Friday) 1st shift: 7 am to 3 pm 2nd shift: 3 pm to 11 pm 3rd shift: 11 pm to 7 am 1st shift will be primary shift unless business needs require temporary shift moves Shift days will be Monday through Friday unless business needs require weekend work Ability and willingness to work overtime, any shift, including days, nights, an occasional Saturday and/or Sunday, including 4 hours prior to or over scheduled shift, when business need dictates Plant operation is 24 hours a day, 7 days a week Pay: $18.58 per hour Shift differential Additional $.34 per hour for hours worked on 2nd shift Additional $.41 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift Overtime pay Time worked after 8 hours of work is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Saturday is paid at 1.5 times regular rate of pay Time worked on Sunday is paid at 2 times (double pay) regular rate of pay

About our Location: At our Avon Mill, we produce 50 lb. bags of flour that are distributed to restaurants, cruise ships, hotels, schools, as well as Betty Crocker dry mix pouches. Our plant is unique in that we have two product platforms: flour and dry mixes.

The flour we produce is integrated into our Betty Crocker mixes. We are a small plant with a great culture where you will get to know the people you work with. Fun facts about Avon are that we produce an average of 1.1 millions pounds of flour a day and about 100 million Betty Crocker pouches a year.

When making our chocolate chip cookie mix, around 2000 lbs of chocolate is added per hour to the packaging line Our Products Flour (25 and 50 lb bags) and Betty Crocker dry mix pouches (cookies, brownies, muffins, pizza crust, biscuits). Working with HIGH-LEVEL operators on EXPERIENCED teams that are looking to pass down their knowledge to workers WILLING TO LEARN and get paid doing it CHALLENGING yourself to get the JOB DONE RIGHT and gain skills to take with you to your next opportunity Supporting production lines by supplying materials as needed Performing various sanitation and clean up duties Assisting operators during bottlenecks or when production lines are shut down Participate in startup, changeover, and shutdown of operating equipment Responsibility for executing all required HACCP processes and documentation Participating in Continuous Improvement initiatives to increase platform performance Attending meetings and training as required Performing additional related tasks as assigned What you have to offer: Minimum of a high school diploma or GED Mechanical and/or technical experience in a manufacturing or related industry preferred Experience in a manufacturing/production environment preferred Physical requirements: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs Must be able to perform physical tasks for extended periods of time including standing, walking, climbing, bending, pushing, pulling and twisting over surfaces Ability to climb and/or work at heights while utilizing stairs, ladders, personnel lifts, or platforms Ability to wear protective clothing and equipment such as safety shoes, face masks, safety glasses, hearing protection, a hard hat, a hair/beard net and gloves when required Willing and able to adhere to all grooming requirements necessary for a food manufacturing environment Ability to work in hot, cold, noisy, dusty, wet environmental working conditions Willing to work around industrial high-speed moving machinery Ability to work with allergens that might be present in a food environment
