My client is a well known Automotive Manufacturer that has several small production sites around Springfield, MA. The sites have grown to where they need to find a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee managers, supervisors, and production personnel at one of these sites. Because the position is brand new, they're looking for a strategic leader, coach, and mentor to guide them to success and allow them to grow even more

Job Description

In this role you will report to the Area Manager and be responsible for:

Overseeing and directing daily activities of roughly 20 employees in production, ensuring safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and labor goals are met.Optimizing material flow and managing manpower and equipment efficiently.Developing and implementing continuous improvement plans for equipment and department processes.Creating and tracking the annual department budget, focusing on reducing production and MRO supply costs.Maintaining working relationships with departments like Planning, Sales, Engineering, and Production.Understanding and applying company policies, work rules, and the Union Contract.Resolving work issues and assisting employees in problem-solving.Maintaining accurate time, attendance, and inventory records.Coordinating with Group Leaders and employees on departmental activities.Making daily decisions on production schedules and personnel matters affecting delivery and quality.
