The International Sales Strategy Manager will lead development and implementation of near-term and long-term strategies for Delta's International Sales teams. This leadership role requires the ability to define a strategic vision for Sales teams and process manage through to execution. The successful candidate must maintain a thorough understanding of international business areas (LAC, EMEA, APAC, CANADA) and the ability to support senior leaders and work cross-functionally to influence strategic objectives. The International Sales Strategy Manager will directly report to the Managing Director - International and Specialty Sales and be based in Atlanta, GA.

Summary of responsibilities:
  • Partnering closely with Sales Development, Sales Performance and Sales Operations to formulate and coordinate key annual objectives and KPIs
  • Serving as a cross-functional advocate for a single International Sales team, interfacing with various levels of the organization to drive commercial outcomes and reporting/process consistency
  • Project managing key International Sales initiatives (existing and future new initiatives)
  • Supporting senior leadership through ad-hoc quantitative and/or qualitative analyses
  • Working with a variety of data sources including but not limited to CDS/PRISM, MIDT, RPAD, ARC/IATA, and external sources such as Diio Mi and DOT data.
  • Serve as the key subject matter leader and expert on across the International teams (reporting, adoption, enhancements, etc)
  • Lead GSA strategy recommendations, training, technology, reporting, and process improvement initiatives in close collaboration with local EMEA and APAC leaders to drive over $500 Million in annual revenue
  • Lead the annual International Sales budget setting process in close collaboration with Finance plus coordinate monthly status check meetings
  • Drive enhanced International Sales employee engagement scores and job satisfaction via BEAT and ENGAGEMENT program execution and enhancements
  • Manage a team of 3 direct reports

What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience with particular focus on International countries
  • High degree of initiative, ability to work with little oversight and ease navigating through ambiguity
  • Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to seek input from and understand concerns of other stakeholders
  • Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to synthesize large amounts of data and draw meaningful recommendations and conclusions
  • High level of diplomacy and cross-cultural experience
  • Proven project management skills
  • Ability to concisely communicate complex commercial and/or organizational themes through oral and written means to stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to travel internationally.
  • Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
  • Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
  • Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
  • Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
  • Bachelor's degree or MBA/Masters preferred or 10+ years relevant work experience
  • Working knowledge of PRISM, RPAD, SAS, Diio, Hyperion, Tableau, and similar business intelligence tools preferred
  • Superior business acumen with strong financial and analytical skills and airline industry knowledge; ability to make high-impact business decisions based on quantitative and qualitative factors
