Builds user interfaces, visualizations, and data algorithms. Requirements
EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, Business, Mathematics, or related field. In lieu of degree, five (5) years' relevant experience will be considered.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum five (5) years' experience OR applicable Masters in related field with minimum three (3) years' experience.
Minimum five (5) years' experience in data visualization using Tableau.
Minimum three (3) years' working with ODBC and/or DB2 connections.
Experience with at least one relational database technology such as Oracle, MySQL or MS SQL.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS & ABILITIES
Coding proficiency in SAS and SQL languages.
Possesses visual skills, including demonstrable design knowledge.
Possesses oral and written communication skills sufficient to communicate professionally, effectively explain complex information and document according to standards.
Ability to work independently as well as lead cross-functional teams when necessary.
Skills
ResponsibilitiesApplies mathematical and statistical concepts to perform analyses across a diverse range of scientific, clinical and translational datasets., Communicates closely with the data science organization. Works with multiple business organizations to understand their needs, pain points, KPI to measure business and create data solutions for each of them., Communicates data outputs across multiple business organizations., Creates and edits visual content using large datasets, Deploys, debugs, and ensures high performance of developed solutions., Designs & develops metrics, visualization dashboards and reports for cross-functional teams and executives using Tableau., Explores, examines and presents data from multiple structured and unstructured sources with the goal of discovering and advancing hypotheses., Identifies trends and find patterns in structured, unstructured, and semi-structured data, Leverages expertise in computer science to visualize and implement analytic workflow processes, Provides visual, technical, and editorial guidance to less experienced team members., Spreads the data culture across the company by enabling data driven operations, Trains business partners on visualization techniques., Transforms data sets, quantitative and qualitative analysis into compelling visuals, Works with a team of data scientists to build and develop the core software platform and underlying inference tools.
