Visiting Assistant Professor

The Department of Political Science at Case Western Reserve University invites applications for two visiting assistant professor positions. One (Environmental Politics and Political Theory) requires the successful candidate to teach classes on environmental justice and politics, seminars on U.S. political thought and ideologies, and introductory courses on International Relations and Comparative Politics. The other (Politics of Race, Ethnicity and Immigration) requires the successful candidate to teach seminars on political communication, the politics of race, ethnicity and immigration, political development, U.S. pop culture, and the politics of Europe as well as introductory courses on U.S. politics and comparative politics. Priority will be given to candidates with strong teaching records and at least five years of teaching experience.
Both are one-year positions starting July 1, 2024, have the potential for two one-year renewals and require a PhD in Political Science. The two visiting assistant professors will have 2-2 teaching loads and may have additional responsibilities such as supervising senior projects.
