Key job responsibilities

Mobile application software development, design and prototyping

Architecture of front- and back-end scaling solutions

Contribute best-in-class programming skills to develop highly innovative, consumer-facing Android and iOS mobile apps

Writing clean, maintainable code and performing peer code-reviews

Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility

Work in an Agile/Scrum environment to deliver high quality software against aggressive schedules

Work closely with product and design teams to customize the Alexa experience on mobile devices

Analyze and optimize UI and back-end application code for efficiency and performance

About the team


We provide the foundational services for Alexa Mobile App and enable our partners to deliver features safely and gradually to our customers.

Our core services span the functionality of Feature Gating, Experimentation, Authentication, Remote Configuration and Bootstrapping the app.

We drive excellency and reliability of services in Alexa Mobile behind OPF endpoint through a governing mechanism of API review process.

We provide the default landing experience for Deeplinks and ensure customers outside of the app ecosystem have a good journey into the app.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of noninternship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets.

The base pay for this position ranges from $115,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market.

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
