We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Catering to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the catering department, including event planning, sales, and execution. The Director of Catering will work closely with clients to ensure their events are flawlessly executed and exceed their expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the catering team to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve catering sales goals.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and team members.
  • Plan and execute a variety of events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
  • Create and manage catering budgets, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Oversee menu planning and customization to meet client needs and preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Conduct site visits and tastings with clients.
  • Handle client inquiries, negotiations, and contracts.
  • Monitor event logistics, including setup, execution, and breakdown.
  • Provide leadership and training to catering staff.
  • Stay current with industry trends and competitor offerings.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in catering or event planning, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing successful events.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and catering software.
  • Previous experience with Marriott CI-TY strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage trends and best practices.
