Are you an Analyst I by title and all-around skilled team player? Then we are seeking you, an innovative, driven, personable, and technical Analyst who will be an all-star teammate and a strategic leader. You will work with creative and talented team members who will share in your passion to exceed in developing robust and innovative solutions for complex research problems globally for Corteva R&D.

Responsibilities - What you will do:

  • Understand and fit critical scientific goals and initiatives into IT solutions
  • Manage complexity and contradiction to achieve the best possible outcome
  • Collaborate with the product owner, subject matter experts, and team members in every step of the development process
  • Break down and implement features prioritized by our research leads
  • Engage in the creation of a product vision and road map, make visible the goals of the team, establish timelines and refer back to them often
  • Drive user-centered design process - create wireframes, interview users, create process flow maps, and develop personas
  • Continually stay informed with the latest software development industry trends
  • Work collaboratively and independently on agile software teams to create innovative software systems
  • Communicate complex technical information to a variety of audiences in a clear and concise manner
  • Define system requirements, data structures and system design
  • Document user stories and acceptance criteria in JIRA and Confluence
  • Understand databases to extract, summarize, and report data

Qualifications

Key Qualifications - What you will bring

Required qualification:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Business Analyst
  • Possess excellent requirements gathering and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • A keen sense of translating the work back to the business value derived
  • A confident speaker; able to articulate messages well in small to medium size groups
  • Able to handle conflicts and approach negotiations in a diplomatic but confident manner

Additional desired qualifications:

  • BS degree or higher in biological science, data science, MIS, or related field
  • Agile experience
  • Previous experience prioritizing and breaking down complex requests into small chunks
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and business partners
  • The ability to be comfortable with the unknown, ask questions, be inquisitive, be a self-starter
  • Ability to dive in, position yourself for success by building relationships, learning quickly, and trying new things
