Job Description/Overview

As the Business Insights Sr Analyst, you will be responsible for parsing complex data to deliver meaningful, actionable business insights and strategic guidance to our business. You will play an instrumental role in evaluating the impact of various services, products, and business initiatives through detailed process decomposition, reporting and analytics to drive business process improvement and opportunities to simplify complex processes.

 

You will assist the Director of Transformation and Product Platform owners by extracting and manipulating data to create quantitative analysis, reporting and presentations that visualizes processes into actionable insights that inform and provide recommendations on high-level 
decision-making and strategy. This role will require you to work cross -functionally to ensure information is accurately being captured and reporting goals/needs are achieved.

 

This is considered an individual contributor role, but you will lead by experience and train and mentor junior business analysts to help decompose processes and coach them on how to identify gaps and visualize how closing those gaps and gain approval to implement recommendations which will result in  improved end to end flow of business process. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide Analysis and report to identify trends/insights and formulate recommendations that will influence business process decisions.  Create, synthesize and present customized process mapping, transforming details process maps into a story that informs both high level strategy and tactical decision-making. 
  • Work with business leaders and platform owners to identify, map and understand their business needs. Translate needs into detailed process flows, requirements and targeted process improvement deliverables.  Work with technical and development partners to deliver solutions as documented. 
  • Ensure accuracy of results and analytic methods through testing and validation of underlying report data.  
  • Identify and visualize business opportunities and opportunities for optimization through analysis of current processes. Review new processes prior to build to minimize gaps prior to costly development in an effort to prevent redesigning solutions. 
  • Manage many priorities with minimal oversight. Plan and prioritize to hit deadlines in conditions that may rapidly change. 
  • Be a formal mentor to early career business analysts by teaching them proper techniques to document processes.  Provide hands on instruction with real business problems so their work product contributes to overall organizational process optimization. 
  • Drive continuous improvement across the entire department. Accountability for delivering a program to improve the people proposition for line managers and staff of the business within the region, covering areas such as performance management, learning and development.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • 5+ years of business support experience
  • Demonstrated expert level proficiency in data analytics through certification (ie Google Analytics, Cloudera, MS Data Analytics) or commensurate experience. 
  • Demonstrated expert level proficiency in process analysis, decomposition and improvement using DMAIC principles through certification (ie LEAN or Six Sigma green belt or better, blackbelt or better preferred.) or commensurate experience.
  • Requires conceptual and practical expertise in own area and general knowledge of related areas. 
  • Has knowledge of best practices and how to integrate domain expertise with other organizations; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate the company in the market. 
  • Effectively communicate within all levels and diverse culture of the organization. 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, writing skills and presentation skills. 
  •  Commitment to development and career advancement of diverse workforce.

Pay Transparency 

 

The salary range for this position is $ 106,160  - $ 159,240 per year plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, and relevant skills and experience.
